Tsuba with key pattern and seaweed-like sprays

Details

  • Catalogue text

Four jar-shaped perforations, crosswise; the ground lightly engraved on the front with seaweed-like sprays, on the back with groups of curved radiating lines; the edge and the border on each face engraved with key-pattern.

The seppadai increased in height by iron demi-plugs, necessitated by the upper and lower jars having been cut too far in.
