Round tsuba with three aoi, or wild ginger leaves

    Formed as the aoi-gomon or badge of the Tokugawa Shōguns, three aoi leaves tip to tip within a ring (the stout, square border), from which their short stems spring; the venation of the leaves is given on each face in fine gold inlay (not nunome as the printed catalogue has it).
