Rounded oblong, 24-lobed; the surface radially grooved to represent chrysanthemum florets; encrusted with four aoi plants (Asarum, wild ginger) in silver-gilt and shakudō.
Signed (in swordsmiths' style: Sadahiro) ([Japanese text])
The ornament is a subsequent addition, probably by the same Shōami artist as produced an almost identical design in no. 292 [EAX.10292].
