Cup
On displaySilver cup, parcel-gilt. In the centre is a medallion with the Victory of Tomyris over Cyrus; on the left a soldier holds up Cyrus's decapitated head. The stem is formed as the figure of Tomyris, placing the head of Cyrus in a pot of blood. The remainder of the surface of the cup is embossed and chased with flowers. Around the foot are four silver plaques representing the animals of Africa, America, Europe and Asia.
