  • Catalogue text

Parts of six repetitions of an umebachi badge in various sizes, two solid, four voided.

The kōgai-hole (or rather its bevelled border) is a later addition, being tongued in place. The badge resembles that in No.195 [EAX.10195], but has ken blades between the bars; it was borne by the powerful Mayeda family, lords of Kaga province. The other was the badge of the Hisamatsu of Tako.
