Textile fragment with rosettes, dots, and small squares

    A continuous field of eight-petalled rosettes, dots, and small squares with four tiny dots inside. The resist defines the pattern.

    The fragment is made up from two pieces which are connected by a carefully sewn seam. One piece has a selvedge, the measurements being 14 cm. (warp) x 19 cm. (weft). The reverse is heavily saturated with dye.
