Tsuba with arrows and myōga, or ginger shoots

    Sparse openwork with slight engraving finish; parts of five arrows (four of them converging to the left) and one myōga device (ginger shoot) within the narrow border.

    Hayashi Collection. Resembles a guard figured in the Sōken Kisho, 1781, Bk.V, p.21, as one of the famous guards of antiquity, under the name of Kachi-ikusa, "Victorious Battle."
