Mokkō-shaped tsuba with karakusa, or scrolling plant pattern

    Mokkō; the upper and lower lobes each with two parallel namako openings (see no.113 [EAX.10113]); the side lobes each with a double-gourd-shaped opening of which the lower part forms one of the oval hitsu; flat incrustation of brass on each face, including a continuous roped edging to all the openings and groups of leafy scrolls (karakusa) in the interspaces.
