Three parallel bands of lozenges, either containing an S-shape worked in satin stitch, or a Z-shape embroidered in double running stitch.
There is a selvedge at right angles to the bands. Each band is 1.5 cm wide. Most of the embroidery has badly deteriorated. In: Barnes, Ruth and Marianne Ellis, ‘The Newberry Collection of Islamic Embroideries’, 4 vols, 2001, Oxford, Ashmolean Museum
