Catalogue text
Fragmentary band of squares filled with a rosette and possibly a diamond-like shape, and a band of stylized trees and plants, as in Cat. no. 205 [EA1990.213]. Every second group of trees and flowers has light blue flower centres. The resist defines the patter, the background is blue.
Selvedge. There are some light blue details and remains of stitching. In: Barnes, Ruth, Indian Block-Printed Textiles in Egypt: The Newberry Collection in the Ashmolean Museum, Oxford, 2 vols (Oxford: Clarendon Press, 1997)
