    A self-contained small knotted interlace has four trefoils attached, with leaves and tendrils added on either side. The design is embroidered in red lines with yellow outlines.

    The embroidery is stitched on a double layer of fabric, the upper one blue silk woven in ?warp-faced tabby, the lower one (reverse) flax.

    The fragment has been radiocarbon dated to 1390 +/- 75.
