    Berlin, Antikensammlung SMB, inv. Sk 586.

    From Tarquinia, Italy. Previously in the Falzacappa House in Corneto. Purchased in 1857 from E. Gerhard.

    Small statue of Aphrodite wearing long chiton and mantle wrapped around the lower part of the body, the left arm, around the back, and pulled up at the back of her head. She leans against an archaistic statue of a woman in the style of a kore dressed in a chiton and wearing a polos. Version of statue of c. 410 BC.

    Modern: hands (left hand now removed in cast), feet with part of the left shank and most of the plinth; in the statuette: face, left breast, left forearm.
