Bronze drum with bird and geometric decoration
Elaborately incised drums of varying sizes are the most widely dispersed Dongson Culture artefacts. They are found in many parts of Southeast Asia as well as South China. Clearly objects of great social importance, they may have been used in warfare or in funerary rites and other ceremonies.
