Three travellers trudge through deep snow by a mountain village at nightfall. The palette is sombre, with the clothes of the three figures the only touches of colour. Several factors indicate that this is a late impression: the lines of the woodblock have broken in places; the bokashi gradation is rather coarsely applied; and there are gaps between different colours in some places due to shrinkage of the colour blocks over time.
