Iron, of shakudō finish (magnetic oxide patina). Rounded oblong; modelled in the round as two overlapping lotus-leaves, one with stem; the venation is delicately rendered in engraving and several irregularly shaped perforations (including the ryōhitsu) represent the results of decay; a number of dewdrops are given by gold dots.
