    Athens, Acropolis Museum, inv. 689.

    Found in 1886 within the walls of the ancient building at the southeast corner of the Athenian Acropolis, Greece.

    Head from statue of a youth. He is clean-shaven and has short hair that radiates from the crown in wavy ridges and falls around the scull as a cap. A meniskos was attached on top of the head, and traces of paint remain on the original.

    Additional fragments attributed to the statue are kept in Athens (Acr. inv. 6478).
