Catalogue text
Athens, Acropolis Museum, inv. 145.
Found in 1883 east of the Parthenon on the Athenian Acropolis, Greece.
Torso from statue of naked male, with fingers from hand of another statue on the left shoulder. The youth’s hand, taking a man by the throat, also remains (Acropolis museum), and the subject may have been Theseus and one of his opponents, such as Procrustes. In: Frederiksen, Rune, and R.R.R.
