Catalogue text
Large, stylized tendrils and flowers, the latter partly seen in profile; the tendrils are arranged so that they seem to form a large quatrefoil. The pattern is red against a light background. The interlacing tendrils are similarly arranged as in Cat. no. 397 [EA1990.404].
Surface and reverse show an equal precision of outline. In: Barnes, Ruth, Indian Block-Printed Textiles in Egypt: The Newberry Collection in the Ashmolean Museum, Oxford, 2 vols (Oxford: Clarendon Press, 1997)
