Openwork design of two carp forming a circle about the sd., the scales and fins carefully modelled, the eye-pupils in gold; fine roped copper-gilt rim; the gaps between the tail-fork of one fish and the head of the other have been filled with shakudō plugs, of which only the upper one remains. Signed: Naofusa [Japanese text] with kakihan [Figure]. (Tetsuya Naofusa, pupil of the founder.)
