Slightly lenticular, with "wire" edge; each face encrusted with the same symmetrical design in strips of copper, viz. a square enclosing a mokkō (the latter acting as outline to the seppadai and ryōhitsu) and set above and below with four double volutes; to right and left a large C scroll.
