Tankard
On displayRuby-glass tankard, silver-gilt mounts, the thumbpiece and handle have applied angelic figures with arms spread. The finial formed as a pinecone. The hinged lid is engraved with three emblematic scenes with inscriptions in Latin and German: 1. a tower flanked by clouds, inscribed: 'NOCEAT TIBI NILQ[UE] PERICLI' and 'Dass kein Angst und sturm wimdt [schao]'; 2. two hearts with a wing above and rainclouds above that, inscribed; 'SED TE TEGAT ALA POTE N TIS' and 'Sein flinger dect uns frue und spatt'; 3. a tree with a jehovah symbol among rays, inscribed: 'ITA CRESCES DANTE JEHOVA', and '[Gottlose] uns machlen durch sein genade'.
