    Formed as two narrow concentric rings of square section (one being the border), interlaced with four arcs of the same width and section forming an open lozenge with incurved sides which embraces the seppadai; a variation of the shippō device.

    Wada, p.121, describes this artist as a member of the Sunagawa School (Group XIX). See also no.1189 [EAX.11189].
