Pedimental sculptures and metopes from the Temple of Zeus at Olympia, Greece. Classical Greek, begun after 470 BC and finished by 456 BC.
West pediment with fight between Lapiths and Centaurs (Centauromachy) at the wedding of Peirithoos.
Olympia Museum, inv. L 82.
Found in 1877, 40 m to the south-west of the temple.
Head from figure of centaur (P), biting into the arm of another figure (Q = A 64), who holds P around the neck. The centaur has long hair and full beard. From the right side(?) of the west pediment.
