Pedimental sculptures and metopes from the Temple of Zeus at Olympia, Greece. Classical Greek, begun after 470 BC and finished by 456 BC.
West pediment with fight between Lapiths and Centaurs (Centauromachy) at the wedding of Peirithoos.
Olympia Museum, inv. L 66.
Found in 1876, 7 m to the west of the temple.
Head with hair tied in sakkos from the figure of a Lapith woman (H), the bride Deidameia(?), attacked by the Centaur Eurytion (J, A 58). From the right side(?) of the west pediment.
