    Delphi, Archaeological Museum, inv. 1392 (right half of block).

    Found in 1894 at the foundation of the treasury in the Sanctuary of Apollo at Delphi, Greece.

    Relief with Apollo wearing short chiton and Artemis in long chiton between a Giant attacked by a lion and a giant fleeing towards a group of attacking Giants. Below a fallen Giant. The Giants wear short chitons and full armour. Traces of the original colour indicate that the frieze was once richly painted.
