Catalogue text
A garden scene with trees and a building, as well as a large bowl of fruit. The design is repeated in bands; it is light blue and pink, with light brown outlines on a white ground.
Selvedge. The reverse shows slightly less dye saturation than the surface. The textile is not Indian. In: Barnes, Ruth, Indian Block-Printed Textiles in Egypt: The Newberry Collection in the Ashmolean Museum, Oxford, 2 vols (Oxford: Clarendon Press, 1997)
