Horse-and-rider figurine

    Handmodelled; baked; buff core; pinkish buff slip; broken on right side; right foreleg missing; the horse's eyes, mane and elaborate chest piece are modelled in applied clay; applied pellet and band on short tail; two bands on lower left leg. Rider schematically rendered with short legs, prominent nose, applied pellet eyes and broad brow band on a pointed cap or helmet with applied pellets. The rider holds a pair of containers between his body and the horse's neck.
