    Inlay of brass and silver, with slight engraving finish (autumn flowers and insects). The front signed: Iijima [Japanese text] Yojibei [Japanese text] saku; the back: Fukui [Japanese text] Jizayemon [Japanese text].

    Bought by the Rev. J. C. Todd. The former artist is unrecorded. Wada (p. 117) discusses the work of Fukui Jizayemon, an artist of Owari province, and illustrates a monzukashi specimen (no. 149) signed exactly as the present specimen.
