figurine

Details

  • Catalogue text

Broken off a standing female(?); figurine; handmodelled; baked; cream slip with pink core; no details indicated; the disproportionate size suggests an attempt to give the figure a base upon which it would be self-supporting, counter-weighting the large bottoms (cf. Oates, J. 1968, pl. XXXe-f).
