Tab with an ornate plant, tendrils, leaves, and flower-heads

Details

  • Catalogue text

A tab filled with an ornate, symmetrical plant, with tendrils, leaves, and flower heads seen in side-view. The centres of flowers are mostly a light blue. The resist defines the design, the background is blue.

Selvedge at the top. Remains of stitching that follows the outline of the tab indicates that there was a hem, and probably a seam to fasten the tab to a larger textile. One side retains the hem.
