    Self-taught sculptor born in 1949 in Beijing. After being active in the Red Guard during the Cultural Revolution, he was a founding member of the dissident Stars group (Xingxing pai) in 1979. In 1984 he settled in Paris with his French wife Catherine.

    Gift of the artist to K & MS in Beijing in 1980.
