    Modelled in openwork with five sago-palms, the corms with touches of gold nunome; heavy rounded border with inner "wire" edge. Signed: Hōriūdō [Japanese text] Katsushige [Japanese text] with kakihan [Figure]. (Shinozaki K., son of Sh. Katsukuni, of Mito; end of 18th century.)

    Ernest Hart Collection. This particular type of border is an Ichiriū characteristic.
