    Low-relief modellin and bold iroye incrustation, depicting on the right a warrior in full armour, bow in hand, standing looking out to sea; at the back, a pine-tree. This is on the larger guard; on the other, similarly treated, a fisherman squats on the beach pointing out over the water; at the back, a rock. Signed: Baijuken [Japanese text] Hamano Harutoshi [Japanese text] with engraved seal. (Pupil of Shunzui).
