Textile fragment with pointed arches

    A band of pointed arches, red and white with brown outlines filled with blue. This is followed by a row of small red and blue diamonds against a white ground, with narrow, solid red bands along either side. The design is identical to the border band of the previous textile [EA1990.950].

    A coarsely done seam and some additional stitching. The reverse shows more dye saturation than the surface. Design and technical details suggest that the fragment was part of the same fabric as Cat. no. 944 [EA1990.950]. Also published in Varadarajan 1983: 10, fig. 1.
