Details

  • Catalogue text

Three bands, printed at right angle to the selvedge. The central one has the same elaborate chevron design as Cat. no. 22 [EA1990.30]; it probably represents a single block width (9cm.). On both sides are identical bands of two versions of eight-petalled flowers, oneblue against white, the other white against blue. The flowers are separated by stylized leaves flanking a central axis. The fragment's design is identical to Cat. no. 128 [EA1990.136].

Selvedge, remains of stitching along selvedge.
