Mounted turbo shell drinking cup

On display

Polished small turbo shell, silver-gilt mounts, at the top is a standing figure of Fortuna, holding up a sail. Below this is a grotesque mask, near which is the head of a serpent, whose body is coiled around the shell. The rim, mount and straps are engraved and cut with strapwork. The foot is formed as a four-clawed bird's foot.
